This early-1900s storage barn was given a new life when its homeowner saw more potential. Through careful design, the retrofit introduced a loft and sauna while preserving valuable shed storage below. Mirrored dormers allow for a comfortable loft and bring in natural light. A heat pump provides efficient heating and air conditioning, backed by an air-tight thermal envelope. The interior is finished with pine ceilings and trim, combining clean building science with simple, natural materials.
